Acorrding to the sit info, there are no difference, but yet, in the game, there are many saying on which is better and what not, does anyone have a view in this?

its a matter of choice, i wanted a warthog for the blunt damage, but i messed over how i wanted it to evolve so i just went and got a elder wolf from southern shiverpeaks..
second thing...you spelt choice wrong

Its all up to you. How they evolve does have a minor effect on attack and health, but thats it. Pick the animal you like most and run with it. For info on evolving, youll find it using search....

There's no difference, just grab the pet you want and enjoy your long lasting friendship...or at least enjoy sending him out to do all the dirty work for you...

Dire evolution is the best IMHO.
No difference in the pets, though it is said that bear has slower attack rate (with same damage output per swing)... so, just choose other pet that bear just in case if it's true.

according to Jenosavel and Epinephrine's testing... the Black Bear is the worst pet... so if your going for damage do not chose it i guess... check out thier guide : http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=89491

i personally like the hearty evolution, since i only use mine as a meatshield/monster-bait-while-i-run-my-skinny-ranger-ass-away-thingy.
the bear does do less damage overall because of their "special" attack, which strangely does not do any extra damage but slows down the attack animation, which causes them to attack slower in the long run.

Elder is the best imo, you dont lose health and dont lose damage

I picked a Lynx for my pet, and decided that I wanted it Aggresive. Why? Well, becuase it's hard to do. That, and the pet will deal a lot more damage later on, so if I ever become a pure BM, I'll have a good damage dealer to help along with that.

To the original question: the Prima Guide and many early sources of pet information mistakenly gave a lot of info making certain pets seem better than others. Later, more thorough testing showed them all to be the same (with the exception of the bear), but not all players in game have seen the new information. Many still believe the old info.
