Should the HoD Helm be removed?

I have heard many complaints about how this helm has created an imbalance in PvP, both in game and on these boards. It makes anti-warrior hexes a lot less useful and teams have started using cripshot rangers and blindbot eles to counter warriors instead of hexes. This means teams are bringing skills and even whole builds to counter a piece of equipment, an idea that isn’t supposed to be a part of GW.

Or are the disadvantages of the helm enough to justify the reduction on hex length? The helm only has 60 armor and there is no attribute bonus from it that you get with the other helms. It is also unavailable to PvP toons meaning that you have to level the toon and buy all the necessary equipment.

If it should be removed how should it get the boot? Should it go the way of the HoD sword, axe, and bow and just not be available to make anymore? Or would it be better to get rid of it completely like the SoA axe?

The only crowd I could see making a huge fuss over this is the Droks runners. While it is also used a lot by the PvP crowd I believe most of them would be glad to see it go. It comes at a minimal investment so there wouldnt be any screaming about how people lost a ton of gold on it.

For those of you who don’t know about this helm can be made in Henge of Denravi for a minimal price. It cuts the amount of time hexes last on you in half. It also has no attribute boost and only 60 armor so it does come with a trade off.

If you want to suggest a change to the game, I'd try a simple poll with links to the last threads, in Sardelac, where suggestions for game changes go. Though, ANET has made public announcements that they won't be changing anything until the championships are officially over. That's what I'm waiting for, myself.
