If you have 1 and purchase factions...couple of questions and auctions
sparks
Will it be better to have V1 on one computer and V2 on another computer?
I was thinking that V1 has 4 chr slots...how many chr slots in V2 as a stand alone, 2,4,???
if you intall it as expansion you get 1 maybe 2 more slots. NOT sure which way is better?
There is talk of auction houses.....Has anyone played EQ
there auction was the best to bad it was in a suck game.
any info on what, how, and/or howmany will be in this new auction house?
questions and its still 2 months away

you will have at least 4 slots if you install as a separate account.
they can be on the same pc with a different email account setup.
if you do this you can only use 1 account at a time
putting them on different pcs on a network will let you trade between accounts
or you can simply add the new key to your existing account for complete chapter 1/2 access with whatever number of additional slots they give (1/2 probably) total merged 5/6 (again probably)

There also been reports from a game site that the CE version of C2 will have a key to add an "extra" slot but not sure if this is real.

One thing to note, if you have both chapters seprate (seprate accounts) then you wont be able to pley with your current characters in chapter 2.
I do not care how many slots they add, the thing I care about is playing current characters in ch2 and all other chapters coming.

The number of character slots debate still rages on in another thread, but something did cross my mind the other day thinking about how Chapter 2 will interact with Chapter 1 by means of the Tutorial world.
Pre-Searing Ascalon is the tutorial for Chapter 1, and Chapter 2 will have some Monastery or something similar as its tutorial. Presumably, C2 as a standalone game will put any character you create in the Monastery, even if its one of the original six professions. However, if you add C2 to a C1 account, which tutorial world will you end up using? I don't want to combine accounts (if I'm convinced that C2 will be worth buying), if it means I don't get to continue to use Pre-Searing Ascalon as a starting point for my characters. I also don't want to miss out on the new tutorial world either.
Anet needs to let us know how this point will handled for upgraders. I want to be able to have the choice of which tutorial I want to use for new characters. I would like to run my A and Rt through Pre-Searing at least once, and have at least one other character I can run through the new tutorial world.

Which leaves me with one question: I have currently 2 chars on a second account of the GuildWars game.. if I add the GuildWars Factions account to it (let's assume I pay $50) will I get the 4 additional slots (which I actually paid the $50 for) or will I just get 2 extra slots (so basically $25 of the $50 the game costs)? Hmm I hope this makes sense to you all..

Hanok: I can't see Anet re-writing Ch.1 to include Assassin and Ritualist trainers. I think the only movement between Tryria and Cantha will happen after trainng.
As to being allowed to choose where your character is born, maybe a Canthan character will be allowed to choose where they were born in Cantha.

when you create a new character you can only choose chapter 1 starting location for now.
when chapter 2 is out you can choose which you want
presear tyria or the monestary in cantha to be born
