Skills - Vampiric Touch

i think this skill is really stupid, just compare it to vampiric gaze. this skill heals for like half of vampiric gaze and costs 5 energy more. you also have to be touching the enemy which could get you killed unless you're a warrior and warriors can't afford to expend 15 energy. the only good thing is faster recharge time and faster cast time than vampiric gaze but with all the negative stuff, it's just not worth it
The truth itself
Last time i checked, touch steals more than gaze.
Also it's a skill, so ranger expertise works here which is why touch rangers exist.

Touch does steal about 15 more than Gaze at the higher lvls.
This and its factions counterpart are the basis of one of the builds that has existed since the game came out, but got very popular in Alliance Battles - The Touch Ranger.
They were largely ignored and disregarded as a RA gimmicky build until people found out their perfect for Alliance Battle style fighting, and AB's started to flood with them, thus some of these same people that disregarded it before are yelling "Nerf!@@@!!!!!!" because its popular now.

Wrath Of Dragons
also, being a skill, you cant backfire/obsidian flesh/spellbreak it
Former Ruling
The only way to get past it is to Kite off the touch ranger. Theres no spell or anything that can stop it.
Life Stealing ignores Armor/Enchantment protection (like Prot Spirit), and the fact that its a skill ignores Spellbreaker type things. The fact that it isnt an attack makes evasion useless.
this is one of the major reasons that Touch Rangers have such a home in the wild randomness of Alliance battles. Alot of people just don't know how to deal with that much constant dmg without having any direct counters like evasion.

diversion works well verses a touch happy ranger.

The fact that most Touch Rangers don't know how to do anything but mush the "1" and "2" buttons over and over without any regard of whats going on doesn't mean the build should be put at fault.
