This isn't worth the elite..Some Knockdown..but it kills itself in like 3 hits...

5 sec cast, all that energy, that ercharge..all for a few knockdowns (vs only stationary stuff btw), and then it dies.

This spirit only loses health if it manages to knock a target down. And with high Communing and high Spawning it actually lasts quite a long time.

I just unlocked this skill in PvP and I was reading the description and ANet changed this skill since the FPE didn't they? I remember trying the prebuild Rt/Me which used Wanderlust with Earthbind and I remember that the spirit did something like knockdown any foe that was standing still for more than three seconds. It was nice because it kept warriors running around and they couldn't just stand there and pummel the monk.

Anyways, with the skill the way it is now, it seems like an okay skill. Knockdowns are always nice and paired with Earthbind, the knockdowns can be a real nuisance. The problem that I see, as with all of the elite spirits, is that without Ritual Lord or Soul Twisting, a Spirit Ritualist is very immobile, if the enemies move away from the spirits, it'll be a long time before the Ritualist can set up shop again.

I stick with my statement form back in Feb.

It is hardly worth its elite status (like most Ritualist elites)

1) 60 recharge isn't going to be helped much because you lose Rit Lord and Soul Twisting.

2) "it actually lasts quite a long time" is a true statement only because it only knocks people down that aren't moving, but if you look at the Dmg it takes - It will only Last 4-6 knockdowns with High Spawning.

3) This would be TOTALLY worth it if you could pick Spirit's and Minion's targets. As it is now, It'll likely just knock down some random Warrior (or whatever random the spirit picks) a few times and die out while you wait 50 or so more secs for it to recharge.

Its about as effective as a Gale mesmer just randomly shotting off 4-5 gales and then sitting there with full exhuastion waiting.
