Skills - Spirit Transfer
Guild Wars Guru
Thom
Build around this properly and it out heals most everything--for 5 energy. Example: Oath shot spirit ranger+ this skill would make holding builds almost unbreakable. Guess the positive is that this type of skill will provide a realistic alternative to monks for some teams.

Yes, well, it WOULD have. I'm highly disappointed with Anet about this skill. Yes, my fellow rits-who-were-hoping-to-actually-be-comparable-to-monks, the skill is now 10/.25/10; steal from single nearest spirit, target is healed for 3x this amount. Pros: you don't kill all of your own spirits + they amped the amount healed to ~180 at max + the cast time is still low. CONS: 10 energy. 10 second recharge. What the hell. It is completely unusable now, there is literally no foreseeable use for it. Maybe if it were 10/.25/3 or 5/.25/5 it would be a fantastic heal, but currently it is completely useless.Perhaps they only saw the offensive use for it, but that was fixed with the restriction to 1 spirit. Heck, they could make it allied spirit, and I'd be more than happy. I don't think they realized that if they make it allied, you'd be sacrificing your own spirits, hence making this skill fairly balanced. If they do so, they can reduce the amount healed to ~120 and we'd be overjoyed. Thanks for nurfing our best heal Anet.

The healing scales up to 237 at 16 restoration. It's about, though not quite, on par with Infuse Health, in terms of raw healing power and speed.
The key differences are that you can heal yourself with it, that it takes life from a spirit instead, and that it has a 10 second recharge.
Whether the first two offset the third is questionable.
Still, being a Ritualist, you don't exactly have many choices. If you need a healing in a pinch, this is THE skill to take.
