i recently got a gold eternal shield req.8 strength recieved damage-2(chance 10%) what i need to know is the -2 chance 10% max?

That wasn't at all an answer to his question. He wasn't asking what it was, he was asking if 10% was the max percent, which it is.

To be more exact, it means if the enemy hits you 10 times, one of those 10 times the you recive will be reduced by 2 points.

And yes, 10% is max...I think, or is it 20%

10% chance is the max, but dmg -3 would be the max for that kind of inherent mod.
