gardocks staff for the 20/20 recharge for blessed signet assuming you have the super runes, which did you use the skull cap on? divine or heal?

There are many many methods to completing THK with only henchmen and oneself...
Player could be::
tuna-fish_Sushi's monk build
Bond Monk (essentially same strategy)
or any Spiker
Since henchmen DPS (dmg per sec) isnt so great, you might have problems in certain areas. As the spiker you would ensure that DPS remained fairly constant, and overall mob take down would be good.
Any spike build woul most likely work, as long as your secondary is monk, and you can carry along a few backup target heals, then you will do just fine.
There is no REAL strategy to playing THK with henchies. For example. i have gotten 6 characters through THK with henchmen only groups. And every so often when helping others in a 2 human 6 henchy group, we over-aggro, mob gets too big and we lose. So id say its less about the build and more about know how to control henchmen, knowing the lvl to an extent, and learning target priorities....if a person can learn these aspects well, then they are free and clear for happy land in the mission that is THK!!
enjoy!

My wife said she almost henched it through with her ranger.
It would seem that the henchies can be trusted to stay up with the king, which is both goodness itself and contributes to the benefits of trapping.
I imagine you have to go Ra/Me for anti-interrupt, however. It might even be tempting to run Echo as the elite so as to trap all the access routes. Healing Spring since you have no other way to heal the king personally. Choking Gas since a bunching strategy makes you elemental fodder.
Are those rock-throwing giants doing AoE physical damage? They seem to be the biggest problem for strategies that really take place at the top of the stairs, rather than cutting off most enemies in the courtyard.

i realise that. but what i mean, i was stuck there for MONTHS trying to get a decent PuG, and there are others i am sure.
i also realise that there is no "foolproof" way to beat THK, but i am attempting to compile EVERYTHING i can into a guide.

I would rather see your Avatar guide finished.
Sorry no donation to your OP though.

someone in my guild managed THK with henchies as a ranger, and ive managed it as a necro with henchies (only 2 deaths). one good tip for monks is to take prot spirit, it can really help people to stay alive longer if say an ele is taking damage from a jade armour
Mister Overhill
Keep your eyes on the king. He tends to wander off and get himself killed.

A necro with Spiteful Spirit works well.
I used a smiting rod w/ +5 energy and collector healing Ankh with 20/20 recharge and casting in the screenshot below. Not really important in my opinion on weapon choice. I didn't meet that req on the smiting rod, however I'm not planning on wanding anyone to death. Main attack is SS.
1. Make sure you're infused.
2. Take your time, the mursaat and Jade Armors aren't going anywhere. No need to rush in.
3. Camp the king and let them come to you.
4. Call targets and focus fire. (8 people soloing isn't going to work too well.)
Attack priority for me would be Jade, Mursaat, Mantle, then Boss. Whenever you have enemies that like to group together, target one for the henchies to beat up on and spite another.
