Epidemic Broken?

I'd like to know. Is epidemic broken or am I missing something?

I recently bought epidemic to use with backfire and empathy. Here's the plan: I cast backfire or empathy on a foe and after that epidemic to "infect" the other foes near him. The weird thing is that I see a special effect on the other ones, but when I check their status nothing has happend.

Am I doing something wrong?

Epidemic doesn't spread hexes, it spreads conditions. You know, like blindness, deep wounds, etc.

I actually made the same mistake when I first read about the skill. Luckily this was a week or so before release, and I noticed.

Ok, back to the drawing board.
