I hate to re-post things, this must have been mentioned before, but extensive googling/searching of the forums came up with jack.

I remember there being an R/E character in the game, but I just went to look it back up and... its not there... it was a marksmanship ranger with some fire skills thrown into the mix... but it doesn't seem to be there for me anymore.

Is this just a glitch with my particular copy of the game, or has anyone else seen this?

That was the build! Why was it removed? Does anyone else know anything about this? Should I just get in touch with ANet and ask?

Imo the best pre built build there and they went and removed it for no aparent reason.A real shame.

There was no premade removed from the pvp selection screen and a R/E has never been one.

Yep, the Flame Slinger. That was my first PvP-only character, too. It was pretty neat.

They removed it around the time they added those silly guild templates. Bah, added like two pure healers and took away my Flame Slinger

it was the most powerful premade you could choose. i dont know their reasoning for removing it. its been gone from the game for quite a long time, though.

Er, that's also not true. They didn't add anything when they took away the Slinger.
