I just wanted to vent on this mission. I've tried the Riverside mission now for the 8th time and cannot even get half-way through it with my Mo/Me. I vaguely remember my old W/Me getting through this on the 1st try.

I know everyone runs into bad PUG from time to time, but this is probably the worst mission that I can recall where I continue to get into crappy PUG groups. Each time at least one player drops and/or goes AFK. Once I got the infamous W/Mo who wants to aggro everything. Another time I have someone go AFK and while we wait a couple idiots decent to go playing around in the poison pond. After using mend ailment on them both a number of times I just gave up and let them die.

When I go to the Riverside Providence town looking for a group to join, it is somewhat difficult because there isn't a lot of people in this part of the game so it's kinda hard getting in a group and a lot of the times there isn't even any tanks in the group. Where are all the tanks on this mission??? Are there any good players trying to do this mission??? AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!! I just want to get to the desert....is that asking too much?

Yeah, it's all down to timing. Just watch out for the movement of the groups of White mantle and slip through. Once you get into the temple thing where you recieve the sceptre, that's where you start fighting. Then a few undead and a boss at the bridge is all you need to beat.

Don't even bother with the bonus, just get through the mission and come back to the bonus at a later stage.

Riverside is meant as a stealth mission. Don't go head in fighting unless you are prepared for it.

Ya, I do remember going through mission before with that other character and we beat it and bonus the 1st time, but I guess the thing I'm getting worked up about the most is teaming up with a bunch of jackholes each time. If I don't get in a good group the next few tries I guess I will try henchman. Although, I usually prefer not to use henchman I might give it a go. Not everyone in the groups are idiots, but it only takes one or two morons to screw things up for everyone.

So basically, its not really the mission that is hard to get through. It is mostly just the PUG groups that I keep getting into. And where are all the warriors on this mission? There few and far between here. Heck, most missions are over saturated with tanks.....go figure.

aw heck with it. I just picked up henchman and did mission and bonus. Probably better that way. Very long and time consuming mission, but good to have that out of the way. Henchman are kinda boring to play with, but less aggravating at times.

NJudson, I was just about to suggest you use henchmen. The aggro can be... well, aggravating if there are folks in your PUG rushing in when the Mantle are all bunched up.

Yes, became a very boring mission, but I certainly didn't feel like saddling my guildies with it so I used henches also with my last character. We've all done the mish so many times!
