I was testing out a Me/R using bow as primary weapon and I noticed that when I used "Read the Wind" preparation, my mesmer would put her hands on her hips and shake her head after I casted it.
Kinda hilarious, it was like she was telling me not to screw around with her build. Anyway, you guys try it, I kid you not.

there is something odd about that combo. My Me/R would wave her hand back as waving off a bug or servant after doing a paticular bow shot. I can't remeber what the shot was, though. Hmmm, there is something very odd about this.

I've recently noticed this too; my ranger doing some weird emote-like motion after a preparation. I know i've never seen it before. Very odd.
The only other time I recall something like this was a long time ago in random arena. I was using a war and killing some necro, then suddenly my char kept doing some emote instead of attacking the guy, and I know I sure as hell was not typing in /something while fighting in random.

Whatever it is, I hope they don't fix it. I think it is rather cute.

Yeah, its like my own mesmer was dissapproving that I was making her use a bow. She does the same emote as /no when i use preparations.

Its a bug. When I use a ranger preparation on my W/R, and then target-attack something, I slide-move into range, with my characters hands on her hips and shaking her head as if saying no.

Whenever Apply Poison finishes being casted it does the /no animation, at first it was pritty funny, but it is now enoying

When I do traps on some of the PvP Rangers I've made, they do the /no emote after laying the trap. I have also seen it on another PvP Ranger in one of the teams I was in. It's weird, but pretty cool :P

I've noticed alot of ranger bugs lately. For instance, running past them and they fall down like dominoes. Makes you wonder.

I was questing with a guildys Ranger. He did the same things as desribed in the OP whenever he attempted to lay a trap while holding a sword.

This bug has been there for a while. On my R/Me and my W/R, any time I use a preparation or plant a trap while carrying something other than a bow the /no animation is activated.
