I ask because of skills like "Serpent's Quickness", which accelerate recharge time on "attack skills". Does that mean it will affect the recharge time on spells like lightning orb?
Ah, I see. I was wondering because some of the pre-release threads discussed the elementalist/ranger combo being a potentially good one due to the synergy of attacks spells and serpent's quickness, but it looks like serpent's quickness does not help spells, only attack skills. Maybe that was something that changed since beta.
Though the earlier posts are correct in their answers there is one slight error:
Serpent's Quickness reduces the cooldown on skills, not just attack skills.
I can tell you with absolute certainty that they reduce the cooldown on my monk spells allowing me to superspam healing all over the place (until I run out of gas that is).
Edit: Expertise however does make the distiction as to what costs are reduced (Attacks, preparations, stances, and traps IIRC).
Thanks for the clarification. Two further questions for you:
1) Does Serpent's Quickness work on itself? That is, does it speed up its own 45 second cooldown while it lasts?
2) How many skill points do you put in Wilderness Survival with your monk build to get a good duration for Serpent's Quickness? Just trying to get a sense for what is practical.
