Do absorbtion runes stack?

I'm thinking about applying them to my Droknar's armors. The max for each rune is 3 damage reduction right? If so, then that means 15 damage reduction is the max?

Would you guys apply it to Droknar's armor though? Or would buying the Superior absorbtion runes be too much for droks armor? Maybe just get a major ones on it?
