What will people without Ch 2 see ?

Lets say I have Ch 2, I get cool new monk armor, I then go back to Tyria and group up with someone who does not have Ch 2....will he see my new uber-cool Cantha armor?

yes. we all will actually download Factions, but we must have the Cd-key to install it.

No reason why they wouldn't want people to see the new content they can't have and get jealous and hopefully buy factions.

I don't think we will all download factions, but I think that anyone with just the original GW will function like the client does now. Kind of a "Download it as you need it" policy. It wouldn't make sense for those who don't own Factions to have all the maps and etc. stored on their system if they can't use them. It would just be a big block of wasted space.

OK - what if someone who has Chapter two tries to trade with someone who only has chapter one - can they use those items?? My guess is no...

Anet said that they wont limit trading or block ch2 items from going into ch1.

Well if it's an assassin or ritualist item, they won't be able to use it EFFECTIVELY, they can use it, but not nearly as well as someone with the class.

the only thing chapter 1 people will download is items that can be obtained in chapter 2 and brought back to chapter 1.
all items not customized for an individual can be seen, bought, traded, and used (within limits) from someone bringing them back to chapter 1.
