Hi everyone~ I've read some threads about HP degens
and I thought I should share my own HP degen build.
HP degen is basically what I mostly played all along.
I'll quickly go through the explanations.

(N/Me profession)

Goal:
To assist the team with damage support.
Just think Wild Riders in jungle and in desert.
real pain in the butt for the healer monks. u'd know if you played one.

Previous Problems HP degeners had.
1. Lack of MP!! 3-4 degen spells and MP is gone!!
2. Ranger, Mesmer interrupting builds own us...T.T
after giving some thoughts for long time, and experimenting
I've come up with this build.

Stats: reasoning for stats come later.
Illusion - 12
Blood - 8 (rune + mask -> 12)
Inspiration - 10
Soul Reaping - 2 (rune -> 3)

so final stats would be
Illusion - 12
Blood - 12
Inspiration - 10
Soul Reaping - 3

Skills:
Life Transfer (elite)
Phantom Pain
Conjure Phantasm
Distortion
Life Siphon
Free Slot (Drain Enchantment is what I use but This is up to you)
Spirit of Failure
Rez Sig

Play:
Illusion - 12 gives distortion at 1 MP loss per evade.
Inspiration - 10 gives Spirit of Failure 4 MP gain per evade.

Distortion (75% evade) + Spirit of Failure (25% evade)
infinite MP regen right there. and put Spirit of Failure on # of W's and R's.
* do not forget to spam Distortion when under attack!!! you can spam
even while you are knocked down!! remember! ^_^;

1. Initially when the match starts, just before two teams collide turn on your distortion and cast Spirit of Failure on their warrior.
2. Life Transfer + Life Siphon on your first target that is not a monk!
3. Target their monk or ele and Drain Enchantment.
4. Now choose another target and just spam life degen.

I dont like spamming life degen on just one target.
I like evading their rangers and warriors and go through their entire team
and life degen. like those wild riders hehe.

Let me just tell you one incident I had. It was a 4 vs. 4 match.
both teams all used rez sig and it came down to be
me vs. ranger + warrior + mesmer.
one of my teammates thought hopeless and left game.
anyway, I casted Spirit of Failure on both warrior and ranger,
Spamming Distortion and gaining infinite MP, I degened the mesmer to death,
then rest the ranger and the warrior. won 3 vs. 1 clean.
ranger couldn't interrupt me, warrior was so pissed he was missing everything.

Things to watch out:
1. High Tactics warrior - they can't kill you PERIOD. but! if they use
healing signet, they heal for alot and you can't kill them either.
Never ever! waste your time on one target if you can't kill it especially with
HP degener.

2. Anti spell caster mesmer - I mean they are designed to own mages.
just run back when you get power spiked lol let your meleers take care of it.
they maybe strong against mages but they die like no tomorrow to melees.
you can still kill them if you control well, just run back a little, and come back
when they dont pay attention spam degen and run back disapear again lol

3. never ever focus on one target only, you are like the overseer,
u have to pay attention to how the battle is going. always spread out your
HP degen on your opponents and especially when your teammates are killing
their monk, u know what to do ^_^ two degens and drain enchantment
and get back to ur previous target and go on with your business again.

4. Always stay back and play smart~

Above necro requires great deal of controlling,
or micro-ing as some of us korean sc freaks like to call it ^_^
after few matches I get dizzy >.<
so I started a new ranger, and wow

no fancy stuff just,
16 marksmanship
13 expertise
max dam bow with 10% penetration and 20% +1 marksmanship

favourable winds + read the wind + penetrating shot.

Boom! over 50+ damage on warrior and over 60+ ranger and over 70+ casters
and this is per hit!!
that's like equivalent of 20-25 HP degen arrows.
but our max is 10 HP degen arrows...>.<

but good thing about HP degen is
it does consistant damage that ignores targets def.
just that it is damage over time.
Conjure Phantasm does more damage than usual 10 MP consuming instant skills.
so if you play them right you deal the most damage on the team.

I fell in love with Life Transfer when I first got it, immediately replaced Siphon with it, I mean how could that huge a degen be bad?? Well I have become less in love with it after using it a while and find that the Energy problem is the biggest problem, especially in an area where you are in a drawn out fight and don't get some help from Soul Reaping.

So I replaced transfer back with Siphon and take OoB instead. Very happy now and can keep up the degen much better.
