Double Elite and Super Elite

Just throwing a couple of andom idea out there.

What if there were a skill (called Double Elite) available to all professions that would allow a character to equip two elite skills. The drawback of this, of course, is that you have one less skill to use as one slot is occupied by the Double Elite Skill.

Now how about this one (its a spin off the previous), what is there were a level of skills higher than elites (called super elites). These skill would be the most powerful in the game, but would take up 2 skill slots and consume an incredible amount of energy, adren, health, etc.

Whaddya think?

Sounds ok. Having 1 less slot probably wouln't hurt a farmer though, so this might intruduce super farming builds :P

The 'super elites' is ok, I guess, but that just means that, with exception of health percentage, anyone with the highest in those areas would be able to use them more often.

Or, well, I donnu. The Super Elites just seem to put out the wrong message.

Dumb idea. One of the reasons for the elite skills mechanism is to allow two skills with obviously overpowered synergies to be in the game - allowing two skills would just be ridiculous.

Every now and then, a poster suprises everyone with a brilliant idea that no one has thought off before.
Unfortunately, this is not one of them.
As dgb allready noted, Elites are elites to prevent broken synergy's togheter. And note that with Arcane Mimicry one could possibly allready have 2 pre-determined elites on his / her skillbar.

I think you misinterpeted my super elite idea. The super elite skill which would take 2 slots would be 1 skill. Meaning inorder to use it, you may click either of the slots, and as soon as you cast it, both slots go dark. As mentioned in my original post, the skills would have huge energy/health/adren./time/etc requirements, eg. your super elite skill would take 3x longer to cast or use up all your enegery inorder to cast it.

Like I said, just a random idea, I dont really care if they implement it or not (which is good cause theres a 99.9999% probablilty that they wont )

honestly, idk if it is such a good idea, one of the great things about this game is its balance. I personally think the above idea could tip the balance, despite losing a skill slot if it is truly a super elite, but a super elite would be, in my mind, too overpowered

But its good that you are thinking outside the box

There is... its call Sig of Capture.

To some extend, there are skills that allow you to better cast, or double cast elites, thus is almost like having 2 elites.

I don't see why really needed this, beside it would make a endless PvP game and easier farming, and overpowering character. If you can better support why this would be a good idea beside a simple "it could be cool", would get more votes.
