I'm a big fan of Guild Wars, but there's a problem. I don't have a computer that can run it . So I'm in the market for a computer, and I have some questions on video carde compatability. The comp. I'm looking at now has an "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 with 8MB-128MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory", so will that work (and I want it to work well) for GW? I also want to know if a "1.60 GHz Intel Celeron M Processor 380, 1 MB L2, 400 MHz FSB" is fast enough.

TY in advanced =)

ick.... and once again... ick

Seriously if youre looking for a new pc.... 3 words..... build your own

And stay away from ANY onboard graphics cards, or shared memory systems... icky icky

There are plenty of online shops that sell compnents at an extreemly reasonable rate.... i'm in the UK so tend to use www.overclockers.co.uk

www.dabs.com is also good.

Main problem with these online stores is that generally there customer service sucks in quite a major way, so u need to know what your doing.

Thats not a major problem, anyone with half a brain can learn how to build a pc from scratch in a about 5 hours ...... learning what the best, most cost effective components to use will require your own research.

If you need any help send me a PM and ill do my best to assist..... oh... before you start looking into buildin a system, make sure you decide what your budget is... and try to stick to it... its v v easy to get carried away

If you really want to get the best bang for your buck, tell us how much you want to spend and watch the suggestions roll in.

I do agree with Accurax...stay away from Integrated video and especially integrated video that uses shared memory.

more a case of...i can get a PEAK brand fx5200 for x amount of british pounds, but the supplier would not sell to a usa customer from the same website, and thus you might recomend the peak brand card to a uk customer, but to a usa customer, the same supplier might only be able to sell them a Xvision brand at x amount of dollars....

(using thsoe two cause those are the main two brands my boss buys, unless the customer orders a specific brand name version of a card)

i mean, most usa players/forum goers sugest newegg.com
but brits can use different sites.

I take it you're happy with your monitor, mouse, and keyboard? If not this can seriously affect what you can get.

Also would you mind building your own, or do you prefer a complete system from some company?
