Is is possible to engage in a one vs. one Pvp competition.

I have heard rumors of several guilds staging One vs. One Warrrior tournments using the gvg system...is this possible. I am very curious in staging a warrior tournment. If it is not possible in the current GW game, will it be possible in Factions? Any information in regards to this topic would be most appreciative...

1 vs 1, as far as I know, is currently only possible if pre-arranged by the guilds. Meaning everything is set up the same as an unrated gvg match, and everybody just stands off to the side while the warriors trade hits. So there's no actual game mechanic for it... yet.

As far as Factions is concerned, I haven't heard any mention of it specifically as of yet.

That's what I want to see though. I'm not much of a pvp-er, but if I could just pvp 1 on 1, that would be awesome. Immagine the tournaments!

1 vs 1 in this game is worthless. There's no point to it.

1vs1 isn't worthless. It may be worthless as a competitive form of play, but it would be really nice as a way to test builds.

It might even be, gasp, fun.

It's also a great way to test how your flag runner goes

Yes it is. Very much so. Without any other factors, in a 1 on 1 battle, rangers > all.

Also it would be nice if mods didn't edit posts that were critical of mod actions when they were clearly wrong.

well the game says it its self that it utilizes in team base fighting meaning that it doesn't really promote solo fightn so yeah i dun't see it happening.

However I have ran fun 1v1 free-for-all 1v1s and beaten rangers with my warrior.

Guildie Ranger: What the! then I'll use Whirling defense
Me: I'm using Wild Blow
Guildie Ranger: O crap I think I'm screwed. RUNN!!!!
Me: I'm using Sprint.

I would love to see 1 v 1 or free-for-all. It would give another option to PvP for people who do not want to join guilds, or do not have time to practice playing as a team.
