Curious to what shield this is...

im not sure if this is the right place to post this.. but anyways...


does ANYONE know what shield this is??

It's nicknamed the Coke Shield, and it's a Korean-only item. Stats are +30 health always, -1 damage in stance, if I'm not mistaken.

not exactly a clear image, is it?

But if my eyes do not deceive me, that is a Coke item, something the koreans got instead of our pre-order items.

3 cans of coke or 1.5 litter coke product will earn you 300 cokeplay points and get you 1 gw item. The promotion is now over. You had to have a korean copy of gw, and sign up on the cokeplay site with your korean id number (similar to social insurance number). The cokeplay items can not be traded/given or droped. It wont even allow you to put the item in the trade window.

16 AL (9 Tactics req.)
+30 Health Always
-1 Damage (In Stance)

That's hella unfair, why can't we get stuff like that?

We get pre-order items when we get Factions. Take what you can, leave nothing back.

I regret not jumping 100% into the halloween and christmas events. Many of my friends boast Christmas hats and pumpkin heads that I didn't bother at the time to try and get. Think my chance will come around this year?

can't even think how many of those i would have if we had those cola items in europe...

Aparrently, Victos Bulwark was put in because of that shield in an effort to balance out the game. Could be wrong, but that's the reasoning I have heard on the other forums.

sry but thats imo a stupid reason, why did they add those other greens then?...

They just add greens to give ppl an easier way to get perfect items, not because the koreans had this coke shield....

Well, this shield did kinda unbalanced the game. I mean.. A +30/-1 shield is worth pretty damn much, and it's unfair to give Koreans an advantage just like that. The Bulwark might not be a counter to this, but I'm glad they put it in, at least Koreans don't have an advantage anymore.

Last night Bloodlight Eyes (The Last Pride) was using some weird shield in a Last Empire match. It was a spider. Any ideas about it? I know what every item in the game looks like, but not that one, so I have no clue :S

I believe it's Korea's pre-order shield, since Japan's a boar-looking one.

As far as I know from earlier posts with Japan's and Taiwan's preorder items, and because I saved all the pictures, Japan didn't get a shield. And that Korean one looks kind of spider-like to me, so maybe talon just ignored the first post.

Does anyone have pictures or the stats of the Taiwanese and Japanese pre-order items?

Actually I just looked through Guild Wars official Japanese website, and the Boar is their shield. It also has pictures of all their other ones.

And I keep looking through Taiwans website, but can't find their preorder yet.
