Pets in Dragon's Lair?

The last few times I have gone down with my pet or friends with their pets, they never make it into the first facet level. They start out with us, then we go through the first portal and they just stay back at the beginning.

Is this a bug, happen consistently or intended to be that way?

I think it's intended. Come to think of it, you fight doppel without your pet, and story-wise, then at the end, you go through that tunnel to the outpost without the pet. Not sure why they appear at the start though. I think it's intended, just as the inability to bring pets to doppel. That or portal cutscenes "teleport" the party members, and they forgot to include things such as teleporting of pets.

That mission is horribly bugged. Sometimes it'll work fine and you'll have your pets with you right through the mission, sometimes you pets won't even make it past the first teleporter. If you're with henchies, they'll sometimes run up and over a vertical wall after being teleported, forcing you to do that particular section with less party members.

The same thing happened to me the last two times I did the dragons lair mission. My spider stays behind the first zone portal and away I go...it doesn't really anger me, but it is annoying...I believe it's a bug. I would imagine it'll be fixed soon enough.

It's been awhile, but when my two rangers went through there with stalkers, there was no problem, except one getting stuck in a wall near the end of level four, missing level five, and turning up again at level six.

I had the same problem when I first did it about a month or so ago.
Sometimes my pet was there ,sometimes she wasn't.
It was hit and miss whether she would join us in each area

I wish it would get fixed, but I will honestly say that I don't think it will. This has been a known bug pretty much since the game came out and it has never gotten any attention from ANet. *sigh*
