Hey folks, I played GW when it came out for about 2 weeks, then quit. I recently came back just to play whenever I'm bored. I won't be playing it a whole lot, but I would like to setup some builds for different purposes. So far I've come up with some stuff...
PvE:
-Pin Down
-Troll Unguent
-Savage Shot
-Barrage
-????
-Lightning Reflexes
-Kindle Arrows
-Res Signet
PvP:
-Pin Down
-Healing Breeze
-Savage Shot
-Dual Shot
-Poison Arrow
-Whirling Defense
-Kindle Arrows
-Res Signet
I've got the different farming build worked out, but I have yet to do normal group PvE as I've been back only for a day or two. I'd like to know if I should change some skills in PvE, and what I should add for my last skill. Judge's Insight would probably be too energy demanding and I don't have any points in smiting.
For PvP, I'm more or less liking this build. I've tried all secondaries except necromancer, and I prefer going for more of a spiker build. I was wondering if I should use Punishing Shot instead of Poison Arrow's degen. Also, would troll unguent be better than healing breeze? I haven't had a whole lot of energy problems yet, but at times I can barely get it off. Any other options for somewhat of a spiker build would be appreciated. Keep in mind I don't plan on joining a guild, so it will be random and/or team arena most of the time.
Lastly, what bow should I go for? The only bow I use right now is a zealous shortbow, 14>50, health+25. It works fine, but I'm wondering if I should go for a different type (such as composite), and different string or not.
Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance.
Need some review of my R/Mo

PvP: -Pin Down -Healing Breeze -Savage Shot -Dual Shot -Poison Arrow -Whirling Defense -Kindle Arrows -Res Signet With your healing, I would personally use breeze. But if you are finding it hard then go for Ungent which gives more healing (I think over time) and costs less. But still has the longer cast time which would leave you open to interupts. But, if you hit Whirling and then did Ungent you would have no worrys there. Again, the build looks good, if you are joining a Ranger Spike team in HoH I would out in Punishing. And leave a space for a spirit if needed. Nice work. Weeping Gaas
apply poison with barrage? :S

I'd slot in Judges Insight there to boost your Barrage. It's an enchantment so it doensn't get removed by Barrage. Only thing preventing it is energy, it has to be reapplied quite often, but at 9 smiting or so you should be comfortable.
Grammar
For your PvE build:
Drop Kindle Arrows, add Judges Insight (you'll need to put some points in smiting obviously) For the open slot, add Distracting Shot. |
