How often do you see Frenzy?
Kodoku67
I know Frenzy is an extremely popular skill for warriors because of the IAS without a decrease in damage. (increase in damage to yourself though)
I just want to know what some of your observations are in pvp.
1) How often do you see it being used in GvG?
2) In TA/RA and Heroe's Ascent?
For myself, I see this skill being used most frequently with hammer W/E's in TA/RA and in GvG. Of course axe and sword use it almost as much but its usually a good bet that a hammer warrior will be packing frenzy and sprint.

As often as my build need it =/
Don't quite see the purpose of this thread, unless you are under the impression that frenzy sux.

Frenzy only sucks if you are being targetted.
But as you're a warrior, nobody is going to target you.
If you're a Mo/W or E/W or another soft target, I wouldn't suggest using it, but otherwise Frenzy is a great skill.

I saw Frenzy in RA the other day. It made my day. I was playing my interrupt ranger (an alteration of the build suggested in the Guide to Ranger Interrupts) when I saw a beautiful warrior who decided to have some fun at 3am. What was he doing you ask?
Well we were in the Shiverpeaks arena. I saw him run down the hill and I thought "Perfect! Pin Down, Hunter's Shot, Punishing Shot will make him hurt!"
Somehow the Pin Down missed, but the hunter's shot was right on target.
What do I see above his head?
"-300"
After a number like that I noticed he had no armor on. Then I laughed. Just as I used Punishing Shot I saw two things pop up:
Healing Signet
Frenzy
I think I did 483 damage.
I cried. I laughed. So did he. We beat the rest of his team in about 10-15 more seconds. Quite amusing.

people who think Frenzy is a bad skill need to understand that it is not. Yes you do take double damage, but how many stances can you have up at a time? 1, any good warrior who is in frenzy and gets targeted sprints out of it, gg. If they dont have another stance then they endure. this is why frenzy is the most common IAS skill used in GVG.

What phearless said about why the downside to Frenzy isn't as bad as it seems at first glance.
But it's also worth noting that Frenzy is the only really viable IAS skill there is for a warrior. (Tiger's Fury requires a particular secondary and nearly all of your energy even with a zealous hilt. Flurry cuts your damage, defeating the point. IWAY is highly unreliable in most team builds. Berserker Stance has a long recharge, requires points in an otherwise "meh" attribute to have any duration, and doesn't work while you're spiking.) If you want IAS, you want Frenzy - and you really want IAS. The difference between a warrior with an attack speed buff and one without is huge, from a defending monk's perspective. If you don't want to use Frenzy, you should probably play a different class.

I know what frenzy does and I dont have a problem with it. You guys arent answering the question...
I just want a general consensus of how often you see frenzy being used.
The purpose of this thread is to answer the two questions I asked...

The question has been answered very well by Murder In China. Nearly every warrior I see in GvG uses Frenzy, ditto HA. Its not quite so common in RA and TA but still very prevalent.
audioaxes
my favorite CA warrior build uses frenzy, no healing

Actually I would say the majority of warriors in HA use Tigers Fury...

Sorry, that should have been "besides IWAY".

Like all other skills (but perhaps more so) if the user of frenzy doesn't know what they are doing this skill = suicide. If they know what they are doing and can stance out of it, then frenzy will own you.
It's definately a PvP only skill imo, high level mobs slaughter frenzy users unless the monks pour energy in or take certain skills, and that's a very bad deal for the team.
