A R/E build

Im thinking about making a R/E, I was going to use Elementalist for the water line, so if the enemies get too close I can armor of mist + frozen burst myself to saftey...OR maybe I could do the earth line for the wards, only problem with that is that most of the time nobody fights INSIDE the wards...What do you guys think? Open to suggestions, comments, anything but flaming
