i was wondering if -% to hit stacksi am a mesmer so say i cast spirit of failure on som1(25% chance to miss) then cast distortion (75% chance to evede) would that mean it was 100% chance to miss and the emnemie couldnt hit me?

no, because when they hit through distortion theres no guarentee that thats when price of failure will trigger, i dont know exact but i'd say about 80%+ maybe

It calculates each one seperately.
Warrior swings at you, distortion is checked to see if he hits (75% chance of miss), lucky warrior gets through. Then Price of Failure is tested (25% chance of miss), whoops, the warrior screwed up. The thing is, if the warrior misses due to distortion, blindness etc, Price of Failure doesn't check for a hit and simply goes on to punish the warrior for missing.

At one time, I beleived defensive skills stacked (i was a somewhat bigger fool then)...I was quite preturbed when I used Throw Dirt and Whirling Defence against a Warrior and he slapped me twice while I attempted to trap him...yes, while blinded!!! I dropped dust trap at his feet to keep the blind going, but he kept me from laying flame or barbed traps...knocked him down with spiked trap and ran away...I suppose there is always a chance, however small, that they will make contact.
