Hi there, got Victo's Blade, woohoo, however, it appears vampiric, as it is suckking the life out of my character as well .
Is there anything to be done about that, because otherwise I cannot see why the price had to be so steep.

Help/suggestions much appreciated.

Best way to combat the vampiric effect is to use two weapon slots. And alternate between the two.
Using Victo's only during combat & other weapon for running around.

Mending

Edit: this was meant to be a sarcastic reply, not a serious one...

As you can see Victo's Blade has a vamp hilt(3dmg/-1hp deg) and a pommel of fortitude(30HP). Green items are simply perfect weapons with different mods they are intended for ppl to buy perfect weaps directly instead of buying a weapon and its mod 1 by 1. Since it has a vamp hilt which gives you a -1 deg, you can use enchanments for ex: mending if you have monk as one of your class Or you can get yourself another weapon while running or getting to your target and once your in combat you switch out to your victo's. The 3 life stealing per hit will recover for your -1deg.

I hate being a wammo so I ditched my grognars sword while I could still get money off of it, I recommend you doing the same. I thought that sword would be like 18375 times better than the one I had but the -1 regen killed me. If you can't get rid of it keep a weapon on back up than only whip out the victos when you are attacking something/one.

Wow, didn't this thread have more than 2?

As stated, have a optional weapon slot to stop the vamp.

1. You don't use Mending to counter Vamp.

2. -1 regen doesn't kill you unless you don't have another weapon to swap to.

Because Mending is trash compared to just about any other healing skill or maintained enchant. This same question was posted on GWO, and I'll grab that reply:

And we're not even tossing in Increased Attack Speed.

So now it's just the matter of whether or not Mending is any good to bring along, and there is absolutely no situation where you would bring Mending and use a Vampiric weapon. Mending is for runners, Vampiric is for fighting.
I suppose you could use Mending for farming too, but it's dumb on your standard purpose damage-dealing Warrior.

You're still wasting a skill slot to counter a problem that doesn't exist.

A guildie soloed the Earth Z Spikers with a Watchful Spirt + Mending Combo . I'll never underestimate mending again.....

Well I know you would need mending or watchful for those -2 health deg weapons or else you go bye bye .

Weapon Switch FTW... If you learn to master using weapon switch it will go a long way. I actively switch weapons alot depending on the situation and example would be when I monk I switch when I am getting drained... when I am a Warrior I switch from Zealous to Vampiric and to Elemental damage weapons, depending on the enemy/player I am attacking.

It pays to weapon switch especially when there are heaps of +armor to physical and elements yesterday.
