I work for a company that owns several other companies. Oh I know what it is. I still remember the time I tried to educate people on the difference between a 'newb' and a 'noob' though... that didn't go well.
Anyway. As my point wasn't clear enough for you, I will try again. If I go to purchase an Alienware computer ... oh say, today... I'm not getting a Dell GX280 in a fancy case. Clear enough?
In the group of companies I work for, if Company B (owned by Company A) makes a product. Company A doesn't put their name on it to say it is a Company A product. It remains a Company B product as Company B is still a seperate company from Company A. So bringing this back to Alienware, they are still going to use the same quality components they always have thus my statement that that are not rebadged Dells. You took this off to left field on some technicality.

Built in water cooling is a lot better than hand done because often things break and ruin parts, with a warranty he won't have that problem. Only change I would have is 7900GT's instead of the 7800GT's. But does Alienware even offer those yet? |
I did upgrade to the 7900gtx's 512's was an extra $76 for the upgrade!x2

well bro, i wouldn't go to alienware, i got so RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed over by them, i got my computer 3 years ago and it was the biggest POS i have ever gotten. Also know that Dell owned Alienware, its possible that they could have gotten alienware better. Also one good thing about alienware is that have the best tech support, of course thats becuase so many people call them becuase of the problems with their computers. So I WILL NEVER buy another ALIENWARE computer again. Did i forget to mention, a week after i got this computer, replaced the sound card and then about a year later, replaced the motherboard, yes they where free, but i had alot of other problems with it too.
BTW: If i had that type of money i most likey would have done the same thing, exepect not gone to Alienware.
