Monk skill: heal other

Hi there, I started a primary monk/necro (currently in Yaks bend) and was wondering where to get/buy the skill Heal other.

I asked around in-game, looked at Serenity, Grendlich (or something) Courthouse and looked at the several quest givers (esp. the Monk ones). Did not find it. So, now I am healing with breeze, orison and use protection prayers.

I looked in the skill list here at Guru and saw that one can buy it in Quarrel Falls. Now, my question is: is this really the first place to buy/get this skill? Or did I miss some quest giver? Seems so not logical that a monk must heal without it until reaching Quarrels.

Would appreciate an answer or hint very very much (as well as my future team mates)

P.s. I have an E/Mo with Heal other, but cant remember where I got it.....

I got a Signet of Capture and grabbed Heal Other from one of the Dolyak bosses in the Shiverpeak area. Plenty of monk bosses use it if they have some teammates nearby.

I also have Heal Other, and I didn't capture it. I think you can just buy it off a Skill Trainer at like Aurora Glade or something.

IMO, Heal Other is a horrible heal for a primary Monk. Just get 10+ Divine Favor and use Divine Boon. My Orison of Healing can heal myself, in addition to any teammate, from range, for more than my Heal Other can. And it costs less energy.

Not to mention that, with Divine Boon and high Divine Favor, all your Protection Prayers offer a very nice heal. Right now, I use Reversal of Fortune almost exclusively, and every cast it heals 102 (38 from DF bonus, and 64 from Divine Boon), and prevents the next hit received and converts into a heal... so for most L20ish content, you're talking about a near 200 point "heal" for 5 energy + 2 energy from Divine Boon (which I don't really notice being lost).

Well, forgot this post... In the mean time I have found it from a boss in the Frost Gate mission. U need to have a signet of capture though (can get that in LA). Or just do missions until u reach quarrel falls...

Ok, so why is it that this skill is NOT elite, yet only available from a crit or trainer....?

I thought the SoC system was for Elite skills only..
