Now this may be absurd but wouldn't this game be realy cool if it was like other MMORPGs? I mean take WoW.....the mounts and the races and jobs and stuff. And pvp rewards other than wepon hilts and runes. I put up a topic about Houses months ago. And one cool thing would be a place where there are 2 factions and u make characters in that type of gameplay, then u chose a faction. Then each faction has differnt type of people with classes. And u start at lv 1 now since it is like this u go out into the field and u see this HUGE WAR. The 2 factions agaisnst each other like an all out war. And the quests are like to Go in the battlefield and destroy certain people and come back alive with what they drop. Instead of having a certain area all for your group isn't enough for me. I would love it if it had jobs, mounts, and Wars like that
That would be a huge Expanision in the future that i hope i would see if the ArenaNet wants to make it
One thing that i would love about GW

This is not a MMO, even I have trouble with that fact sometimes. But it is a CORE, the whole purpose was to break away from MMO and make a better product that appealed to a broader spectrum of players, hence forcing the industry to stop screwing over the consumer with the same old stuff. And start screwing us over with new stuff. A.Net is void of that final comment, they rock, they seem to actually care about their player....I've never had the feeling they consider the player as an unfortunate appendage that comes with a wallet.
Specifically:
1.) We don't need mounts, we instant travel.
2.) Houses overall, were rejected thus far by the community at large, that might have been your thread, not sure.
3.) If you kept track of Factions, you'd know they're implementing a more "war" like experience in Factions, if you want to buy Factions.
And finally, it's a bad to even suggest that GW be more like WoW. A.Net are the guys who jumped ship from Blizzard (Who made WoW). I doubt that they'd want to do anything other then make GW LESS like WoW if possible.
P.S. Blizzard, while not the "enemy", are the people responsible for Diablo II, which effectively lobotomized 80% of online gamers. No, we don't need more games like that. My brain is starting to recover from my stint in Diablo II, thanks much to GW for that.
However! So I don't seem mean and all negative. Might I suggest Silkroad Online. It's free, it has mounts, jobs, plenty of grind to keep you busy, decent difficulty, guilds, and plenty of players on at all times.
The only downsides at the moment is it's still sorta "beta", just came out of 3rd closed beta last week or so. Hence, it's somewhat laggy, and the servers are very full all the time. There are a few Korean>English text translation issues, but nothing to bad, and they fixed a lot this past week.
Overall, I found the experience to be pleasant if not addictive. It's an excellent companion for when you're a little GW fatigued and looking for a little more conventional MMO situation.
