system is a
p4 3ghz ht 1mb cache 800fsb
1 gig pc3200 running dual channel
24 bit soundblaster 7.1

prob is when i try to use the new drivers from Nvidia they make my whole system have a fatal eror crash during boot.
works fine with drivers on install disk.
Anyone else have this prob with their nvidia cards. seems weird to me cause i live by their card in fact am thinking of going to 6800gt just to upgrade.
Any feedback would be greatly apreciated.

I never use latest drivers. At the moment I'm still using Forceware 71.24, those work like a charm for my 6600GT.
I tend to give new drivers a long probationary period, which involves me checking forums etc. for a few weeks to see how others are coping with them.

Have you tried Windows Updates? Maybe they have some newer drivers there that might work with your card. If not, you might want to search google on how to completely uninstall your current drivers and install the new ones so they wouldn't conflict.
