I was wondering what people thought about the idea of a PvE ranking system. The thought came to me while I was volunteering for a Ring of Fire mission and a Ne/Mo who was with us instantly bailed after capping an elite.
While I was frustrated with it, I thought to myself, "Well, besides the fact that he was supposed to be helping us with the mission, that necromancer had no other reason to stay here." Sure, I'd like to think people would consider the fact they've suddenly invalidated all the time people are investing to complete these missions--but, hey, people can be and are assholes on a regular basis, and this guy was no exception.
What if, though, there were extra incentive for people to complete missions -even- after they've finished them? Wouldn't that be something?
How about a ranking system, I thought, for guilds? Each mission would have a difficulty assigned to it, and points would be awarded per player to each guild based on a number of variables, such as player level compared to difficulty, number of times ran, last time ran, et cet..
I'm not really sure. I just think we need greater incentive for people to do PvE.
