Please bear with me as this is my first submitted build.
I wanted to try something a little different and with that in mind I have created a character whose main purpose is protecting the focus fired monk, and hurting his attackers at the same time.
Attributes:
Energy Storage: 10+1 headgear +1 minor rune = 12
Protection Prayers: 10
Smiting Prayers: 11
Skills:
Balthazar's Aura : For 10 seconds, foes adjacent to target ally take 10-22 damage per second.
Smite Hex: Remove a Hex from target ally. Foes near that ally take 10-70 damage.
Zealot's Fire : For 60 seconds, whenever you use a skill on an ally, all foes adjacent to your target are struck for 5-37 fire damage.
Shield of Judgement (E) : For 8-18 seconds, anyone striking target ally is knocked down, and suffers 5-41 damage.
Reversal of Fortune : The next time target ally would take damage, that ally gains that amount of health instead, maximum 15-67
Guardian : For 5 seconds, Guardian has a 20-44% chance to "Block" attacks and magical projectiles striking target ally.
Rebirth : Resurrect target party member, teleporting him to your current location. All of target's skills are disabled for 10~4 seconds. This spell consumes all your remaining Energy.
Judge's Insight : For 8-18 seconds, target ally's attacks deal Holy damage and have +20% armor penetration.
The main idea here is to keep Zealot's Fire on at all times to take advantage of the fact that generally there will be 2 or more warriors around the monk that you are trying to protect. Reversal of Fortune and Guardian give 2 options of quick casting, useful protection spells that will benefit from this added damage and keep the monk up and healing at the same time. Balthazar's Aura adds more damage to these same targets, and with the elementalist energy pool, its cost is not prohibitive. Smite Hex's purpose is obvious and can again pile on more AoE damage. Shield of Judgement is icing on the cake as it both adds damage and reduces the effectiveness of all warriors and rangers attacking your monk.
Judge's Insight is included to add versatility to the build. This spell gives us an offensive option because it not only adds damage to the warriors in our group, but also allows us to use our Zealot's Fire damage on opponents. This could easily be switched out with Mend Condition or Shielding Hands, or Glyph of Lesser Energy if energy is a problem.
A fun build and I've never seen anything like it. Looking forward to your feedback.

I like this build. But personally I'd say that the energy storage does not do that much, and I'd try to put some points into earth for the ward series of protection spells.

Assuming a +12 energy focus with 12 in energy storage I will have 78 energy. My thought is that with this nice pool of energy and a reasonably inexpensive skill set (excluding Balthazar's Aura) will allow me to get by without an energy management skill. Will have to test to find out for sure though.
