Comments & Opinions are welcomed.

This build you are about to read is a personal build I have used since around the 2nd month Guild Wars went into stores. I found it to be a fun and reliable character alot at times. It's main purpose...PvP Team Arenas & Random Arenas.

R/Me
Domination Magic: 8
Marksmanship: 9
Expertise: 13
Wilderness Survival: 12-14

Troll Urguent
Ignite Arrows
Posion Arrow (Elite)
Distracting Shot
Backfire
Black Out
Frozen Soil
Ressurection Signet

Troll Urguent is obviously your healing skill when in need.

Ignite Arrows is what you want to have up basically at all times to deal a little extra damage to your target as well as adjacent foes.

Poison Arrow is what you will want to use after you cast Backfire on a foe, remember to keep Ignite Arrows up as well.

Black Out after you Backfire the caster foe. This will give you and your foe a 5 second skill recharge, causing you and your foe to be unable to use your skills.

When you get a foe down and dead, you will want to cast Frozen Soil. REMEMBER!!!! [USE WHEN YOUR ALLIES ARE UP!] (Many people don't know how to use their Frozen Soil properly and it definately causes them a loss.)
NOTE: NO ONE CAN RESSURECT DURING THE DURATION OF THE SPIRIT!

Ressurection Signet also speaks for itself...RESSURECT YOUR ALLIES! (Many people forget to check on their allies to see if they are doing well or not. Please resurrect.)
NOTE: No good when Frozen Soil is up.

I don't really see how this is anti-caster at all, except for the backfire (which is quite low, and without fastcast will be a full 3 seconds.) Since you have no way of keeping backfire on (as mesmers do) vs any decent team it won't last more than a couple seconds, and won't do any damage. Also Poison arrow is a wasted elite in my opinion, given the huge number of boon prots who would love to take some poison off their teammates over and over.

Well look at it this way...you set-up ignite arrow, then cast backfire w/o firing off a warning shot, then use poison arrow. Trust me, try the build a few times in random arenas and you will see about 40% of the ppl panic. And when your backfire is at 1/2 it's recharge, you use blackout to get another 5 seconds on them.

You need to rely on a fellow team mate doing minor dmg sometimes, varying on the runes on the caster.

I agree with sno, as I feel that the build in the first post no more then an anti caster build then a standard ranger.

From your last post, you have said you find sucess with it, and may be the main reason is because you are a good player, rather then a good build.

Personally, I find the build lack that little extra edge to distract, or pervent casters to do their job. On the other hand, it seems to lacks the killing power to do damage as well.

Fifteen Over Fifty [Rare]

Not to mention the fun of Backfire is forcing the target to cast through it. Why Blackout while they're Backfired? I mean...you're Blackouting them after Backfire has worn off. So what? You just took them out of the game for 5 seconds.

And you took yourself out of the game for 5 seconds. Considering you've got Poison Arrow as your Elite skill...and it's an actual attack rather than a prep...seems to me that disabling your Elite attack is counterproductive. Other builds, yeah, maybe it's not. But in this build, it's like Blackout was thrown in as an afterthought. It doesn't really "click" with your other skills.

Wastrel's Worry/Blackout/Backfire is a nice little triplet, but again, you need Mesmer primary to use it effectively. Backfire at 8 Dom does very little.

I'm with Sno on this one. This build doesn't look like Anti-Caster at all.
