GW Faction boycott
DragonEye
hi there,
I have enough of trying to finish the thunderhead keep mission. i have tried it 23 times now and every time somebody leaves before the end.
Either ArenaNet makes it easier or they take measures against leaving party during missions.
As long as they don't do one of both they can put their second chapter where the sun doesn't shine
Matt.

Gonzo
Don't do it with a PUG but try Guildies or henchies for that matter. I did it with Guildies just last night and can't see it was that hard.
Gorla
Don't bother with people, take hencmen and do it. I did it with them for the first time for all my characters.
Caged Fury
How cute.

I always have been lucky to find PuGs that finish THK in one run. The Desert gave me way more trouble. Luck rules us all.
ps. I play GuildWars in my apartment room where the sun never shines, so your alternative is fine with me.

But thunderhead kepp is easy, do it with friends or henchmen or take time to put a proper pug together. Besides THK should if anything be made harder along with the dopple ganger both have been nerfed to much.
Lord Valkyr
As said already, the mission really isnt that hard. All is required is the right build and teamwork. The first couple of times around it took me 15-20 attempts until I got into the right PUG and passed. With my third character I just got guildies to help me. Finished it easily and quickly, first time. Don't give up yet mate
Cronos Khan
No...
JR
Thats right, please make the one remaining challenging mission easier. God forbid PvE actually have any level of difficulty at all.
Big_Iron
Four chars, completed on the first or second try on each one. I'm not bragging, far from it. I'm a pretty average player. Dude, you're just getting in bad PuGs. That's not ANet's fault. The mission is long...as compared to others up to that point, but FAR from impossible. The last time I did it, we took henchie monks because we couldn't find "live" ones and finished it easily. We just camped out around the King and made sure he stayed alive as we beat back the waves of attacks.

:s We did it easily on my second go, with 7 people (after someone dropped after 10 min...) just need some teamwork and stuff. Get some spell casters/rangers on the catapults.
Well, ok, perfect armour came at one point and the fight got a little frantic for about 1 min, but after that it was peachy.
(My brother finished it afk when something unaviodable happened - they did it with 6 people left...)

You must have been very very unlucky to have gotten into a poor team 23 times in a row!
It is very easy to fail this mission with a group composed of people who do not play well together or make tactical mistakes with aggro. It is easy to make a fatal aggro mistake when entering the fort, for example, where it is hard to not aggro the groups in the center while taking out the groups on the balconies.
But the mission is not that difficult! And it has even been made easier some while back. I have done the mission many times again, helping friends, and I don't find it hard at all anymore. If Anet made it any easier it would no longer be the challenge it was meant to be.
My advice to you is to try to be a bit more careful when choosing a group. Form your own group, for example. Here it is very important that the party members AGREE on a strategy for how to guard the King in the fort. It is my belief that the best strategy is to stay near the king and fight no further than the stairways, but the worst that a team can do is to not be in agreement here. Agree before you start the mission.
