Yesterday I was ORO farming in Sorrow's Furnace and we killed a couple of bosses. As a tank, I am pretty bored when I do the job and I was entering a different world. I was thinking of that there might be a person who presses a "drop" button when you are about to kill a boss.
So, we were killing some and this boss was about to die. 3 or 4 of our party were screaming and going nuts. "I will spank yo momma if you don't drop for me!" or "He's dropping for me, I feel it!!" and the person who didn't said anything, got the green drop. Coincidence?
A long time ago, I was yelling in UW to get an Ecto (I think it was my first one, don't remember), I was saying I wanted an Ecto so bad, that I would go to church every day. And boom, an Ecto dropped. I think the person behind that "drop" button was laughing when he pressed it. This happent to other people too.
But then again, this might have just been a dream...

I am sure there are people who close their eyes right before the boss dies, thinking that when they open up their eyes they'll see a nice bold green for them, or maybe squint sideways at the screen, just because they feel like it improves their chance for a drop.
In Tombs, people probably frantically press Ctrl (or Alt... whatever highlights items) right after the first Darkness dies, hoping for the green they so desperately seek. ANET should spawn a quad of Titan Fists when someone picks up a green before all 3 Darknesses are dead, so that the team doesn't lose focus.

I stay silent while killing the boss(es). It's only after they die and I don't get anything that I start bitching.

Last night when we did SF farming, we killed off Drago. Before he died, i saw that his has the flatbow. And i said "Oh sweet, he got his bow" Within second after he died, the flatbow dropped for me.

Mantra of Dropping. Elite Stance. For 5..8 seconds, you have a 10..25% increased chance of a green drop. If a green item drops for you, all your drops are nerfed for the next 5 runs. (Attribute: Inspiration Magic)

I´m convinced that the guy that controlls the "drop button" also have an "DO NOT DROP" button, and every time he sees my name he push that button frequently...
I must have the worst luck ever when it comes to drops, my teammates get drops, I don´t, and I have been farming FoW, UW and SF alot.
I´ve got one green drop, instantly I visited the pc-forum to check how much it was worth..... 1k......... yay

interesting thought for the next class...hehe have a "Scoundrel" with a Item stealing attribute....the farm builds would be rediculous, no more invincimonk or W/Mosor anything else :-p
