Thinking about going solo on Ranger
Dust Finger
I've heard from many people that going solo on Ranger and having no second profession would be a good idea. If you guys think its a bad idea then what is the best 2nd profession to go with and why? Thanks for your time!

There's no reason to not have a secondary. If want to put all your points in Ranger skills, that's up to you and several people do, but there's no benefit to stripping yourself of the option of throwing in a couple secondary skills.
R/Me is popular and very good at playing interrupt, which can be quite effective. R/Mo is nice because you can be a bit more self-reliant with healing. R/W (my build) has a couple nice warrior skills to help your party and Frenzy, which is great for Rangers. I really can't speak to R/N or R/E.

Well, you may not be able to speak for the R/N or R/E creators but I can . An R/N is good just in case if you need that extra damage. During the betas my main was an R/N and he satisfied my bloodlust quite a bit with his ability to create minions of death, as well as has his own pet or just plain duke it out with arrows. The R/E build is very nice if done correctly. Using traps you can cripple your foes and cause them to bleed, etc. and as they are comign at you you run backwards and lay a good reign of fire upon them. I was amused for quite some time with those builds but they are not for everybody....especially the R/N build.
Currently I have an R/Mo and rarely use his monk abilities unless if my party asks for it and i can turn him into a monk in a few minutes. It is all up to you.
