i'm unsure if it's the proper place to post this but here it goes. guild wars accnt has been banned. when i log on it, i get the following msg:
"Your account has been banned from Guild Wars for a breach of the User Agreement and/or Rules of Conduct. This ban is permanent. (Code=045)"

now my problem is that i don't understand WHY the accnt has been banned. no exploits, no bots, no offensive names, no swearing didn't use anything to make em ban.

i'd like to know how can i contact gw support for this specific problem. i cheked the gw support section but it has nothing about account banning.

Try emailing support ([email protected]) - they're the best equipped group to give you an answer. You will need to have an active account with NCSoft before they will accept your email, but setting one up is a quick process.

Any chance you tried downloading a cheat or something else designed to give you an unfair advantage in GW? Those frequently contain keyloggers, which will get your account stolen in short order.

If somebody else took your account over, it's entirely likely that "your character" did something very, very naughty...and earned a ban.

Based on everything that I've heard so far, you're SOL.

Yes guild wars has a chat log of all conversations you said on your charc and what programs your Guild Wars account installed. Belive me I had my throw downs with A.net, but never banned.

i don't even know what to do.. should i go the the Ask a Question place and ask what happened to the accnt?
i mean will they tell me for what they banned or if there's a chance to get it back?

and as i said, i didn't download anything. all i know is that it farms a lot.

You can still send an request to support, even if you account is banned.

Only things I can think of too many reports from users to offensive behavior (could be language), you bought your account from someone else, your account was hijacked and used for botting / human botting, you tried to sell items for real money.

Or tried to sell your account, or tried to sell an account for another game (IE, WTS RUNESCAPE ACCOUNT FOR GREEN ITEMS).

i don't think i did that many spelling mistakes.. i say "it farms a lot" coz i'm refering to the monk on that account and it's NOT a bot. it's my friend's account and all he does is farm. i know for sure that no bots, hacks, foull language was used and i'm curious to know why would anet throw the ban stick on such a random person.

there's one of your answers already.

if it's originally your friend's account. It didnt necessarily mean you did something wrong, they might have done something before and just caught up to him/her. while you're using it.

/again. email support and wait for the explanation really.

Your not telling the whole story so it seems kinda fishy. When was the last time you played? Was the same acct installed on 2 PC's ? Whose acct is it ? Isnt sharing accts against the EULA ?

Something is wrong here. All you know is that it farms alot. That really doesnt sound right. I mean you could say, you or your friend farms alot. Sounds like your using a bot...

I believe that he is referring to his account as "it", as in "it" is used alot for farming.

If he is farming "like" a bot, nothing but 24/7 farming, doesn't replay to people, Anet may of id him as a farm bot or a "human" bot (then ones that work for companies to sell gold for real money). If he actually used bot code to automate it, then Anet might of caught him.

Best you can do is contact support, give them all the details and see what they will do.

Notify support at support.guildwars.com, and after an initial automated response they should give you the clear reasons why your account was suspended. Anything further can be discussed via e-mail correspondence to support.
