since factions is coming out and.. im near-broke i decided to actually try to learn farming (yeh.. its not hard, just i was lazy xD!) second time i'm trying this.. first time was before the aoe nerf, and i had a bit trouble with it, so i didn't bother trying again.. but now.. dunno.. gw been boring lately, so i thought i'd give it a try. so i hunted for runes (as in.. spaming L.A. and Droknars Forge for buying monk runes :P) and bought myself 800g dragon ascetics from droks. anyways.. after i got everything set up i gave it a go, with a big help to the gw guru monk farming guide!
my setup is as follows on the screenie. Mo/N (i don't liek recharge on SoJ, so i went with SS) :P

yeah. I farm in GRiffon's Mouth for various weapon mods and usually get about 3-5 every 15 minutes.
But I use my W/Mo to farm griffons, minos, and hydras.

on my mo/w farmer i like to take cyclone axe, soj, blessed aura, and the usual stuff. cyclone axe is quite handy as you can just spam it and it does 8-10 dmg with the 3 att points i have in it, and if i do it every 5 secs thats quite good dmg and you shouldnt have to activate soj again, or you could use soj and zealots fire, but zealots fire is annoying as it makes them scatter alot

I think the reason why he said finally is because doing it without SoJ is tricky, esspecially as a N/Mo; my 2nd accounts unlocker (N/--) does SS...
He's got to replace your blessed sig and suffering with Divine boon and Reversal of fortune to pickup the slack of 10 pip's of regen... kinda tricky but yeah it works, not as lenient of having knockdown that SoJ gives.
or go AoTL style and its way more lenient than SoJ but less effective time wise...
however my mo/-- use's SoJ+Blessed aura and a 19% longer en sword... I also put in zealots fire for stragglers if doing trolls....

Anet didn't remove the griffons, they just made the scarabs kill them when you zone into the area. :l Featherfist can kill a few groups, but gets raped by the boss group. :||||||
