pre-order items, any good?

I'm thinking of pre-ordering Factions and I know what it comes with bonus items. Are the items any good? Anyone has some stats they could share? Are the items just unique in looks? Are they better than green, purple, etc items found in the game? Thanks!

well from wat i've heard no body was able to get a preorder box yet, even though we were supposed to get them yesterday

The release date on all possible sites I've seen (including the store I pre-ordered the collectors edition) says March 2006. So I guess it'll ship this month.

What has been your experience with pre-order items from Guild Wars, part I? Were those items good?

Thats the release date according to Gamestop/EBgames as well, but I think its due more to the fact that they have no idea, rather than them knowing something we dont. I won't believe any release date until I hear it from either Anet or NCsoft, and even then I will most likely take it with a grain of salt. Not that thats stopped my from pre-ordering it.

Oh, and Gamestop told me that the Pre-order package would be in on March 7th. Did anyone else get this, or do I need to go lay a beat down on someone trying to cheat me out of my pre-order package?

That release date is not for the pre-order package. That's for the "real deal" accoding to Gamespot. The release date for the pre-order is March 31st according to the announcement at the login-screen to GW.

edit/ This of course means that if you pre-order somewhere where it says the release date is April 28th, it's not certain you'll get the pre-order package.

Capped 2 minutes ago. Though I also just saw another screenshot saying it was Feb 28th. Guess they postponed it.

What I understood is that the 3rd March (online pre-order) and 31st March (boxed pre-order) are for Europe, and the earlier dates are for US.

That does indeed seem to be the case. However the April 28th date I've only found on american sites. The date for the european releases are official atleast.
