how to enjoy pre-order benefit if order online?

I have preordered through Amazon using the link on guildwars.com. Amazon told me it would be shipped on May 1st. In that case, how can I enjoy first 4 benifits ANet mentioned?

At least you will eventually get it. even if its long after the benefits of having it pass.

for me ordering on line is not an option and my local EB Games, Game Stop, Best Buy and Comp USA all said they don't know what "Guild Wars Factions preorder box" is and never plan on selling a box for any pre order. although all of them carried the original game as a pre order.

think A-net has some explaining to do regarding linking to stores that obviously don't intend to Cary the product there linked for.

Iggk: you have to remember that those stores are just run by peons, it's the upper level management that decides what a store will carry, not some pimply faced youth with 15 piercings in his left ear.

anyways each and every store checked there databases and confirmed there is no mention of factions pre order box not on the 28 not ever each and everyone of them mentioned an april time frame for release though.

All i know is that i spent about 50 bucks on this preorder package from best buy. online. with the direct link from guild wars site.. if i dont get my preorder package im gonna hit the false advertising button and raise some hell. this is bullshit

There's definitely some terrible communication going on here. NC Soft or Guild Wars, or whoever, are releasing a product unlike any the stores have ever sold: a preorder that's actually physically present. They have not shared this information with the stores/distributors, though. I have now spent many e-mails between the 2 sides. The guild wars support says that the product is ready, and that it's out of their hands. The distributors, however, keep referencing a normal pre-order, with shipping on the estimated date of final release. Despite my attempts, the distributors will not listen to information otherwise, and though I've tried, neither side seems to be willing do what's really necessary, in contacting the other party. Quite a mess they got here.

What are you talking about? Physical pre-orders are pretty common now. They give you extra crap like a Music CD, "making-of", or a reference card.

Doom 3 gave you a little Miniature Demon. Some online games give you codes for online stuff.

This is nothing new, and I really don't understand why a pre-order box that was supposed to be on shelf Tuesday, still isn't available.

this is the exact question i have. so its shipping when it comes out but we'll be able to play 24 hours before it comes out.. riiiiight

Guess I just didn't know. They certainly are treating it like they've never seen anything like it, though. That's for sure.

My EB Games has a sign up "Pre-order Tales of Legendia and get a free Art Book" "Pre-order KH2 and get..blah blah"..w/e.

Ask them about Guild Wars:Factions preorder box and look at me like "WTF?"

Told me it'd be April before they were sent any thing related to GW:F.

Hmm I'd say just download the client when its out, but I guess you need the actual box with the Key in it.. I dont suppose they email it to you, do they?

gamestop didnt give me anything with mine, but they asked for my phone number so maybe they will call me when the extra stuff comes. i usually dont preorder my games so I'm not really sure about whether something is wrong or not.
