What is your 3DMark03 score?
cannonfodder
100% agree with you Principa, willy waving....the why make it up? was a general "whats the point" remark wasn't really directed at anyone other than the guy who lied, I'd like to know also, it's as if he thinks we're stupid enough to believe him...Though I will be surprised if he posts back on this thread...
Principa Discordia
Agreed.

If your talking about 8k in 3dmarko3, then no way, although yours is a good card, it would be hard pressed to get 5k in 3dmark03............

Had a bit of fun and decided to see what my machine does in 3dMark05 on the same system specs as I have already mentioned in this post. Here it is.
4631
Still no OC or anything else adjusted. And even after all this hardware bashing, my machine still only reaches around 52-55C.
Will look into a bit of OC and see what I can squeeze out of my system.

the beauties of clocking the shit out of your card.
I get about 6900-7000 depending on how hot it is in my room.

With those specs, you should be getting around 4.5 to 5k in 3dmark05 and about 11.5 to 12k in 3dmark03..so if your not hitting at least 11k in 03 then somethings wrong m8
Icarium
lol im getting nowhere near 11k in mark 3 try 3500 or so ? . .. how would i find out whats wrong?
cannonfodder
Try reinstalling you motherboard chipset drivers...also try a different nvidia driver set, use driver cleaner, cant remember the site, but google for it...
Oh you could try the dxdiag tool and see if that brings up any errors
As a last resort defrag do a general clean up etc etc

Also, I would double check all your BIOS settings to make sure you have everything set to the correct settings. If you have anything set that doesn't go with your hardware settings, that could cause problems.
Easiest way to determine what is going on, set your BIOS settings to default and only set the CPU settings to show your correct processor speed.
All the info on how to do this, is located in your Mobo Manual.

I know, It's Icarium who's having the problem, plus I've clocked the bejesus out of mine and used a modded bios to give the core more volts....
Icarium
Ok how interesting this has been :P i managed to turf my bios, and turned my PC into a paper wieght . . .after a ton of messing around with it i finaly was able to reset the bios defaults ( i pulled the lithium battery) and now i have a working pc . . :P i still cant seem to achieve these amazing scores ( 5600 in mark 03 is the best i can get) but oh well when i have read up on what im doing maybe ill tweak it some more

Wow i got a shitty score...I'm embarassed. 5485 with a Radeon 9800XT, AMD FX-51, 2gb ddr corsair ram, some ASUS (insert random letters) mobo. Can anyone tell me what's wrong, and i'm not overclocking anything so if you guys can provide some overclocking tools?
ElRey
Did you use 3dMark05? It is a reasonable score there, but my comp:
AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.4 ghz
Nvidia GeForce 6800GT 128mB (unlocked)
1 GB Ram
Gets a 9407 in 3dMark03, so that could be your problem.

Principa Discordia
I'd say that's a reasonable score for a 9800XT. It would probably go up a little with a fresh reformat or some hardcore maintainence, but it's nothing to worry about.
