Customizable Special Event Headgear

I'd like to petition for a crafter or some type of NPC that can take your special event headgear (pumpkin helm, horns, santa hat) and, for a fee, basically make it identical stat-wise to any other headgear available to your class.

I love the look of the Grenth Horns on my ranger in my 15k Druid's armor, I just wish that the horns would at least allow me to get a +1 stat so I can have a 16 while wearing them. Armor rating would be nice too, but more than anything I just want to be able to max a stat.

Anyone else think this is a good idea?

I searched but couldn't find a comparable suggestion, although I admit I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it.

Just me huh? Oh well, guess I can still wear my antlers in town.

Err, don't think it will happen, so I might as well ask that you can 'blend' the skin with a helm you already have. That way you get the skin and can use it in PvE/PvP without sacrificing armour and special ability.

sounds good but i suppose it would mean making a special gold event item though which gives you the same stats as a normal 15k armour but then again would it actually work?
