cannot log in HELP

for some reason i cant log into the game. run the game and it contacted arena.net and pop up the game screen where i put in password. I put in my password press enter. It pause for a second which normally would show the character selection screen but right now it just show a screen saying connecting.... is arena.net having problem or is it my computer? i tried restart and redial into the internet and still didnt work. Also i allow it through my firewall but still didnt work. can some one help? thanks.

Is this your first time playing, or did it recently start happening?

That sounds alot like a firewall problem, are you running through a router?

i been playing for 100+ hours. Just launched a mission and i have to leave so i press F12 to log off. Came back about 30 mins latter and could not log in as described. I'm using dial up so no router or hub. I enable ZoneAlarm to let gw.exe connect to the internet. It was working fine and nothing changed. All of a sudden doesnt work. I tried to turn off ZA but it still didnt work. any other suggestions?

try a reinstall. Sometimes my files get corrupted, even when I F12.

Hmm I am not sure about that, have you tried disconnecting and restarting your dial up? I dont think it would be a problem with the IP you are using... but who knows. That just seems strange that it happened out of no where. Have you turned off zone alarm completely? Even go into processed and kick it off if you need too. Also check your windows firewall.

Or as Ser suggested, if it comes down to it, reinstall. Can't hurt.

did all that, shut down ZA completely and windows' firewall been turn off. Even tried to reboot my computer..... sux. Reinstalling the game now. just hope it work.
