Game minimizes on startup

I've been playing this game with no problems for two weeks, but when I went to start it up today it immediately minimized. I click to expand it and it just minimizes again.

P4 2.6Ghz
Nvidia 6600GT
WinXP SP2

Are you running it in windowed mode or full screen? And what resolution in game? That is a very strange problem.

Full screen.

I played around with it a bit, and put in the CD to do a repair. After it finished it worked again. Odd.

It happened again today, and after some experimenting I discovered that it happens when my desktop is at the default resolution (1600x1200), but if I manually shift it to what I have the game at (1280x1024) it works.
