PC Insightful (4) Fire Staff of Fortitude (30)

My friend and I are attempting to sell the following item:
Insightful (+4 energy) Fire Staff of Fortitude (+30hp)

weapon mod thread indicates insightful is 2-3k, of fortitude 30 is 20-30k. trying to sell the staff by itself directly to let the buyer agonize over whether to use it or salvage one of the two pieces off of it.

what do you think we could get for it?

somewhere between 5-15K.

why only 5-15k? is that because buyers are going to be risk averse about the salvaging issue for the "of fortitude"? (not that i blame them, i'm risk averse about salvaging it myself, heh.) just trying to understand the logic behind the pricing as well as get a price check.

If the staff has no inherent skill mods, such as casting/recharge improvements, then the only reason why someone would buy the staff is to attempt to salvage off the +30hp head. There's a 1/3 chance that works(1/3 for the insightful, 1/3 for materials, 1/3 +30hp head), so they'd be willing to pay roughly a third of the price of a perfect +30hp head.

At least, that's how I do it myself.

I pay 5k max for stuff like that... agree with DSey.. if I had that item I'd rather salvage myself...

Hm, sounds like we're better off salvaging it and hoping for the "of fortitude", then, and selling that separately for the 20-30k.

if you care for a final update, we salvaged and got the +4 insightful staff head. my elementalist friend decided to use it. *shrug*
