im making a blood(for sure and possibly death) necro, but i just cant seem to find a good second profession for it, any suggestions?

secondly, i dont understand rangers, i dont see how are they good at all. in my opinion (please correct me if im wrong, dont flame) rangers attack slow, dont have a high damage output, have weak defense. i dont see and outstanding points on offense nor defense. please explain how are they good, or are they even good at all
