Tonight I fired up Guild Wars as usual and it updated with the 02/03/06 update. Yet when it got to the log-in screen that little lightning flash in the top-right corner started downloading. Ok I thought, I'll leave it and grab a coffee thinking that it'd be finished by the time I got back.
Well, when I returned it was upto 130MB and still climbing. Is that right?

Ah, that's OK then. I thought my installation may have been somehow borked. It's at times like these that I'm glad to have a fast connection.

I left it on the character load screen and it downgrabbed over 200+ mb before it stopped streaming.

it was actualy about a gigs worth if any of you knew the size off your gw install go check it out now.mine was almost a gig and after today it is almost 2 gig.welcome to factions install just a shame we can't access it yet

how in the crap did u guys figure out that bar at the top was for an update? my update would have never got done...

My guess is its pre-loading the chapter 2 content for the preview on march 24, this way there will be less of a rush where a million people download the update in the day coming to march 24.
