Dyed Weapons
Mournblade
I messed around with some of my Skeleton/Skull shields last night. You can dye them but the effect is very faint. You can really only see the difference in the 'cheeks' of the shield.
NinjaKai
Mournblade: Imagines pink cheaked skeleton shield. :XD And nice dyed white sythe or whichever weapon it is.
animal secks: I shall definitely be dying my bone staff black since the evidence seems pretty clear from your image. I wonder if it looks metalic when dyed silver. If anyone knows please do tell.
Zero G: I will be buying silver dye for my bow as soon as I get on if it means it looks like that.

LOL I didn't try red - I bet it would look just like rosy pink cheeks. I'll have to try that when I get home now. =)

Maybe someone will find this helpful:
Domination cane and jeweled chalice dyed silver.
As I recall, the Holy Rod also dyes a nice silver.

As I recall, the Holy Rod also dyes a nice silver. I've never really seen those types of cane or chalice in basic colours. But mainly because they aren't my prefered choice of offhand or cane.

Got a shadow shield recently... =)
Couldn't bring myself to try black or silver. I'm not quite wealthy enough to 'play' with those colors yet. =)

It looks better dyed than with base colour.

For those having issues with animation stopping after dying... i tried dying my Storm Bow pink to match my ranger outfit and needless to say it stopped the animation. I used a dye remover after and it darkened it back out again cuz it had lightened a bit when i dyed it. The animation still wouldn't move. Needless to say i logged completely off Guild Wars and ran Window Washer (build 6 is what i have) and after logged back in and the animation is back. Needless to say i think it could be something in the temp internet files or something or whatever i dunno. I just know my Storm Bow is animated again! Thought i would pass that along.

From what collector did you get that, since i have a collector cruse staff i got somewhere in the Echovald forest and it simply does not accept dye
KillerGuitar666
with storm bows....I dyed mine silver, and it glows a lot brighter, and i think it looks really cool

Just a heads up, Healing and Protection Rods crafted in Cantha (though having the same graphic as a Holy Rod) do not consume a vail of dye when applied.
so I'm stuck with gold, yuck

Yeah, I did notice that these two wands I crafted would refuse to dye -.-
Also, you can't dye Green items as far as I remember, so good luck with Drago's Flat Bow. :P

You can dye "Straw Effigy" which is a green item.
Mine is now pink to match my mesmer. ^_^

you didn't request it, but the Cleaver axe dyes pretty good, so I though I could post it here, not just the shaft but also the blade is coloured, here in the picture below I have shown you it, dyed in red, blue, orange, yellow, green and purple:

Mine is now pink to match my mesmer. ^_^ He meant "green items" Like a green Drago's Flat Bow. Or a Green Victo's Axe. As opposed to white (standard)/blue (mega cool)/purple (almost worth something)/gold (rare) and green (perfect set stats that are not changeable).

End of game straw effigies, which are greens, can be dyed.

Yup they are "greens". I know what a green is. ^^
NinjaKai
I've learned something new. Dying a platinum blade is a waste of time.
Marth Reynolds
dying a Emblazoned defender and embossed eagis has no effect (exept the fact that your inventory will have one dye less )
Asplode
Wait, does this mean you can dye the other endgame green items? Like the Exalted Aegis? Oooh this is worth trying! >_>
Arkantos
Dye a fellblade, they look cool.
Ulivious The Reaper
seeing how he asked nicely
all it seems to does is change the base colour,
btw it's a storm bow dyed silver :P (went all out ehh!)

anyone has zodiac bow dyed black?
Mournblade
Only the little gems on Zodiac items change color.

Anyone got a fire staff or air staff dyed? (the old-skool skins, not the new ones)
Vahn Roi
The old school skins, if you are refering to the twisted branch looking thing, are uneffected by dye if memory serves. Either that or it's so minute I fail to notice any change.
conker
yeah when you dye a fellblade it looks SOO cool almost every color, but the animation disappears =(
Vermilion Okeanos
O.o can wayward wand green dye? (guessing no)
If one can dye either the handle or the orb, I might consider getting one.

Holy Staffs do NOT dye. I've tried dying my faction collector's healing staffs and the dye will not take (ie the dye isn't even consumed).
I am very disappointed

Actually dying an emblazoned defender does work. It dyes silver very well.
Ulivious The Reaper
dying a embossed aegis black makes it a silverish colour with black shadows kinda, i'll post a pic if i can find my aegis
Dyed black sheild and silver flamberge, doesn't change anything on the flamberge sadly

holy staffs do dye very very slightly, they stay the same basic colour with a tiny tint of the dye you used on it, well the port sledge collecter staff does anyway

The mesmer inscribed staves from Ch1 use the same skin (the "dead tree" skin). I dyed my inscribed staff silver, and while it looks silver in the inventory slot, there's no actual change to the looks when you have it equipped.

I don't think it does. I dyed one and it's still animated. Actually, I was going to post it in this thread anyway...
Dye mix is either blue+green or blue+green+green, I forget which.
