Little yellow lightning bolt thing?

On the top right of the screen, sometimes a little yellow lightning bolt thing shows and a number behind it. What is it?

umm..that would be downloading packets. i think those are extra files that don't load when you load the map.

In this case its content for the Factions Event you are being streamed so that ANet doesn't overload their servers too badly during the event itself with people downloading.

Cool I've always wondered that as well.

anyone know the size of the download?

mine's at 70MB atm...

I posted in anouther thread like this. Mine went over 200mb and then stopped.

So should I not log in while it's updating?

Nah, go right a head and play. It doesn't care. It'll keep downloading until it's done.

Me and brother's stopped at 260mb

261.10MB when it finally stopped downloading. It seems to stop if you log into an instance (towns/map areas) only streams when its on the menu or character screen. I could be wrong though.
