Planned additions include everything from items, to monsters, to new areas and more. - Full features are in the works too. One example is the Observer mode technology slated for a Summer release, allowing users to watch matches between teams in HoH, GvG, etc. - The two new explorable areas, Sorrow's Furance and Grenth's Footprint, are scheduled to be released in approximately 2-3 weeks, marking what will be the largest live update to Guild Wars yet. - The second "chapter" of Guild Wars is already underway, with a very loose estimated release of the first half of 2006. According to Jeff Strain, it's very likely that players will be offered a preview of chapter prior to its release. - On the competitive front there's some serious developments. Within the next two- three weeks there should be a full release of details on an upcoming global tournament that is scheduled to kick off during the Summer. From the sound of it, plans are for the tournament to run through to some point in Fall, but full details are forthcoming. |
